The Chrisley family delighted fans for nearly a decade on the USA Network reality show Chrisley Knows Best. The show was canceled after Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to prison for fraud. The couple were pardoned and released earlier this year.

They’re starring in a new reality show about life after prison. Todd’s mother, Nanny Faye, will appear on the new show. But he and Julie agree that she would be perfect for the next Golden Bachelorette season.

Who Was Nanny Faye Married To?

Nanny Faye Chrisley was already a widow when Chrisley Knows Best premiered in 2014. She was married to Gene Chrisley for over forty years. He passed away in 2012.

Nanny’s granddaughter, Savannah Chrisley, shared on social media about her bond with her grandfather. “My Papa Gene was my BIGGEST supporter and fan! I don’t think he ever missed a horse show or school event growing up. We were inseparable,” she wrote on a throwback photo.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Nanny Faye’s late husband was an Army vet who fought in the Korean War.

Nanny Faye Chrisley Pitched As Next Golden Bachelorette

Nanny Faye is 81, but has the antics of a woman half her age. Her favorite things to do on the reality show were to go gambling, flirt mercilessly, and team up with her family to prank Todd.

Many women complain about their mothers-in-law, but not Julie Chrisley. She has a close bond with her husband’s mother. Julie recently opened up about a health scare they had with Nanny Faye after they were released from prison.

In addition to their upcoming reality show, Todd and Julie Chrisley returned to their podcast, now dubbed Chrisley Confessions 2.0. 

Nanny Faye was a guest on an episode this week. Todd and Julie teased her about being single at her age. Todd teased his mom about her habit of stripping after too many Jello shots. “Well, you know, I look pretty good to be 80,” Nanny Faye joked about how she looked without clothes on.

She made it clear that she wasn’t advertising for a new man but her son joked that he was going to put her on dating apps and “pimp” her out. Julie Chrisley chimed in that her mother-in-law could be on The Golden Bachelorette.

The senior dating show successfully matched Joan Vassos with Chock Chapple during the first season. Many fans think the spinoff will return next year with a brand-new lead next year.

Nanny Faye may not be the only one joining an ABC reality show. There has been major speculation that either Julie or Savannah will compete on the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.
